Wildlife Resources Card

The Wildlife Resources Card (WRC) is a wallet-sized identification card issued to eligible persons who wish to engage in various activities licensed or authorized under the Wildlife Act and Regulations. Visit the Wildlife Resources Card site if you want to:

  • Apply for a new card
  • Order a replacement card
  • Update identifying and/ or address information
  • Add a new certification to your card.

Hunter Education

The Atlantic provinces hunter education course in Nova Scotia is provided by the Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forestry.

You can now register online for:

  • Hunter education classroom or online courses
  • Fur harvester home study
  • Crossbow online courses
  • Bowhunter classroom courses

Draws

The Department of Lands and Forestry holds two annual hunting license draws.

Harvest Report Cards

Hunters who have purchased licenses are required to submit:

  • Bear snare harvest report card
  • Deer harvest report card
  • Moose harvest report card
  • Small game harvest report card
  • Fur harvest report card
